I work at a small but quickly growing start-up in the consumer goods space and manage all aspects of the supply chain. Specific to transportation management, I tender loads, book carriers, generate BOLs, coordinate appointments and track shipments through to delivery. This is all done via excel and email communication. My first step in automating some of these tasks is to implement a TMS system. I've narrowed my list of options down to a few (open to recommendations), but I'm wondering if there is a 3rd party solution that completely eliminates freight management from my workload.
Essentially, I am looking for a cost effective system, solution, or human to manage all aspects of managing freight for my company, without actually having to hire someone to manage it. Does this exist out there?
