Hello, logisticians everywhere!
I have had interest in this line of work for quite a few years now and only realized my fascination with it until after I graduated college. I have spent the past 3 years building experience in sales and have had an introduction into the transportation industry as an OTR parts/inventory controller for 1 year before this. Customer service totals about 6 years in all.
I have some interviews lined up with a couple different large companies and would like to know what to expect A) Before an interview and B) The daily operations of the job in general. I am intrigued with the routing and planning aspects of the job, but I have no idea how stressful it is going to be, how to avoid burnout, what sets you apart from the rest, etc.
TL;DR - Tell me what you wish you would have known about the world of logistics before you had entered your role.
