I am currently working in Accounts Payable with no SC/Logistics but I am trying to get in the field. My company has tuition reimbursement for a CPIM course being taught online through a college in my area. Would it make sense for me to have my workplace pay for the course if I don't have experience in the field? I was reading online that it is suggested to have some years of experience first before going for a designation, but if the opportunity is in front of me to take the course on the company's dime, I am considering it. Should I go for a CPIM designation even though I have no experience in the field, but I am trying to get my foot in the industry?
