Alright, it is beer o'clock! I'm a BCO/IOR. I thought I would see a break after the last holiday season but it turned out to be a never ending peak season. I feel so frustrated that I am at the mercy of ocean shipping lines wanting to deliver ONLY to coastal ports, rail terminals being backlogged severely / refusing any inbound freight, and lack of CDL drivers available nationwide. My job shifted from smooth to chaotic and have not been able to take onto my side projects I normally work on during slow season (feb-apr). We are heading into peak season (when was it over?) and we are priced out of the market due to sky-high container prices that are bound to increase even more.
How are you all copping with so much BS that one cannot control but MGT expect you pull a rabbit out of thin air?
