I am 29 and graduating with a BS in Accounting. I have been considering going the supply chain route because the CPA will require 30 more credit hours, a huge amount of time and money studying for CPA. I am 12,500 in student debt, car has 275k miles, and I would like to get married and start a family soon.

I chose accounting because it would pay good but not sure if I would be able to handle the dryness of the work. Below is past work experience-

  • Warehouse supervisor 3years
  • Sales GM at a national gym 1yr
  • Truck Dispatcher 4 years ( in charge of 8 truck drivers and trucking operation small business)
  • Sales Associate at a big tool company ( it paid good & worked while in school)

My question is, do you think I could find a job in supply chain that pays 75k plus with my experience and accounting education? I feel like employers for the most part view accounting degrees in high esteem. Or am I fool and should I stick it out for CPA? I just need to make good money now and don't feel like taking another 3 years and more student loans to do it. Almost think a supply chain company might even pay for an MBA one day.
