I have 18-20k 40' containers with Matson.
I have 12-14k 40' containers with other lines.
I have to use several forwarders to get all the space I need through matson lines - (Matson is unloading at LGB port within 5ish day, that boat rarely waits more than a day outside the breakwater.)
Upper Management is having to deal with the fact that I'll have no monetary option but to use regular lines that are taking FOREVER to unload at the port...
I'm drowning.. Covid Burn Out is real with us all working at 'peak season' speed all year having to just take it up the ... with freight charges increasing like its going out of style.
I know I'm not alone.. what is everyone doing!?
(other ports, but most stop of LGB first anyways..)
(I can divert half to Ensenada as I ship inbound to LGB anyways to bring to Tijuana)...
and Trains? OMG, took a FULL MONTH for an Evergreen container to LEAVE LGB to get on a train to Chicago.... that's AFTER the ship was waiting outside the breakwater, after it took forever to unload, and only after it was waiting to get on the train)
