The company I work for supplies a decent amount of stores in the Las Vegas area. We ship parcel to each store which usually average out to 7 packages per PO with 10-15 PO's a week. Unfortunately they do not have a central DC for us to ship to. Our parcel costs for this customer are estimated to be about 1000-1500 a week, would there be an cheaper 3PL option for us to ship our items (they order up to 30 of our items) to the Las Vegas region for them to distribute? We would ship LTL to them.
Or if we package everything for the week and mark each box clearly for each PO & Store, then send out weekly LTL's to the 3PL and they just slap shipping labels from their location on the boxes.
Unsure if there's a term for this, but if there's a solution that could cut our costs in half, that would be huge for such a small company. Shipping from NC to LV is expensive.
