Hi everyone! A client approached us for warehousing and other logistics services. We usually do ecom, but this client wants a bundle kind. My partner is in brick and mortar distribution of fmcg products but this client is quite different.
They want to use our warehouse for cross-docking only. The client owns 2 trucks which we are allowed to use. They want us to service the whole country. For example, a shipment from a supplier arrives at the warehouse, it will only stay there for 4 days, then it will be shipped to one of the brand's stores somewhere in the country. That's it, basically. It will be our people to manage the warehouse as well.
How do we charge this? Of course warehouse rent, then what about the others? Do we charge per shipment? Per item? Margin? Like 2% of the value of total shipped products?
